Shipping

All Sylvia cabinets are shipped by freight truck. The freight company will call to set up a delivery day and time with you. Please note that the drivers are only able to give an approximate time Ð as deliveries do not always go as planned. We will call you to let you know shipping day from our company and to answer any questions.

Shortage and Damage Claims

  • Claims for shortages must be made to Joya Distributing, Inc. within 5 (five) days of receipt of goods: call our office for assistance (800/428-2804).
  • Always inspect all boxes completely for damage before delivery driver leaves. If you notice damage, either refuse delivery or make sure you and/or the driver make a notation of the damage on the delivery receipt before accepting the shipment. If there is a problem with the merchandise, simply close up the box and call us toll-free 1-800-428-2804. We take care of everything else, the re-shipment, and the replacement paperwork.

Return Policy

Returned merchandise will not be accepted without first obtaining a Return Authorization number (RA#) from Joya Distributing, Inc. Call our office for assistance. You must have the original invoice number and date of purchase to receive authorization. Return the merchandise with the authorization marked clearly on the box and refer to the RA# on all correspondence. Merchandise will not be accepted for credit after 30 days from the date of invoice. All returned merchandise must be in good condition and is subject to a 15% restocking fee. You are responsible for return freight charges.

Will my furniture be assembled for me?

Yes, except for attaching the casters/wheels.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders placed online can generally be cancelled as long as they have not left the warehouse?

Once you place your order, you will receive the contact information of service representatives that will help you with your order. To cancel your order, simply call a service representative, or, if you prefer, e-mail us at usainfo@sylviadesign.com. A full refund will promptly be made to your credit card. In some cases a restocking fee may apply if you cancel your order more than 48 hours after it is placed.

Website Shipping/Return Policies

United States Shipping - UPS Ground

All shipping to United States addresses is sent via UPS Ground. When you order, you will receive a real-time shipping quotation, as well as an indication of the delivery time for each item in your order. Tracking numbers are available. Also note, UPS can only deliver to your door - they cannot place your furniture in your home or assemble your items.

What types of payments do you accept?

Sylviadesign.com processes both Visa and MasterCard on behalf of our customers. In addition, for many of our retailers we accept their store credit cards. Proceed to Checkout from your Furniture.com Shopping Cart for full details.

Do you charge my credit card at the time I place my order?

We follow the payment policies of our retail partners. Some require just a deposit at the time of order, however many require payment in full at the time of your order. We will authorize your card when you complete your order, which includes confirming your account number and your available balance with your credit card company. Your card is not charged at this time. Our retail partner will charge your credit card when your order is processed and accepted by them. Payment requirements are explained fully during the checkout process.

Do you accept COD orders?

We cannot accept COD orders. All orders must be paid in full prior to delivery.

Order Processing Time - 48 Hour Maximum

Please make sure that you give us an accurate street address that can be delivered to. All Sylviadesign.com orders are processed in 24-48 business hours. Delivery quotes are for business days only. Shippers do not ship on Saturday or Sunday and do not count those days in quotes. Items contained in one order may be shipped from different locations.

Special Shipping Cases - Outside the Continental United States

Certain shipping limitations apply in certain cases. Delivery times to Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii may differ from posted estimates.

For international orders (including to Canada), we offer USPS Priority Mail International or Global Xpress Guaranteed, both of which offer online tracking.

Returns & Refunds - "If I don't like it, can I send it back?"

In order to be processed, all exchanges/returns/refunds must be approved by a Sylviadesign.com representative.

If the wrong item is shipped, or the item is damaged or defective, we will issue a full refund, including shipping costs, or ship you a new one at our expense.

Order Cancellation - "What if I change my mind?"

If you decide to cancel your order on a shipped item before it has shipped, please call us for cancellation approval. If you decide to cancel your order and it has already shipped, even if you have not yet received it, you will be responsible for returning it to the location from which it was shipped at your own expense. In addition, you will be charged for the original shipping to you and issued a refund for the difference. If the package has been opened, a 15% administration fee will apply.

Conditions of Refund/Return - "Where's the fine print?"

You can request a return authorization in writing (by e-mail is fine) within the first 30 days from the date of purchase. If you refuse a shipment without having received authorization from an Sylviadesign.com representative to do so, you will be charged for the shipping of the product both ways. A refund will be issued for the difference.

Products Under Warranty - "Do you honor warranties?"

Please contact us to determine if the problem you are having is covered by warranty.

We will reimburse you for ground shipping expense in the continental U.S. for authorized returns on warranty repairs in the first 30 days from the date of purchase. We will not accept COD returns.

Website Security of Financial Information

All information is encrypted

All financial data you enter on Sylviadesign.com is encrypted with secure socket layer (SSL) that encodes the information before your Web browser software sends it to us. You will know a page is secure when you see the small lock icon at the bottom of your browser screen. The SSL software decodes the data only after it reaches our server, meaning hackers can't snatch any of your personal information while it is in transit. Once the data reaches our site, the same state-of-the-art security software we use to guard all of our company's essential business data protects your personal data as well.

No credit card information is ever stored

Our site uses a secure order form for customers to request products for purchase. This form requires a user's billing and financial information (such as credit card numbers). Financial information that is collected is used only to bill the user for the particular products and/or services requested in that specific order. This information is used only for that purpose and is never shared with any other person or company. The financial information is encrypted from our own staff and cannot be retrieved by anyone in our organization. Our servers use secure third-party processing services (Cybersource and PayPal) to process credit cards and payments. Neither our servers nor the third-party processing servers store credit card information for any use other than processing the specific credit card transaction for which the information was given.

Your Order History is never shared

Our store maintains a list of receipts, which comprise the Order History for each customer. This information is accessible by logging in to the store and then clicking on the Check My Order link located in the top right corner of any page on our site. This information is for your convenience, only after you log in using your unique username and password. It is not available to anyone else except our support staff. Because our system never receives your un-encrypted credit card information, it cannot be stored in your Order History.
